Iroquois County taxpayers ranked 70th in total sales taxes paid per county in October 2024, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, Iroquois County residents paid $153,131 in sales taxes during October 2024.

Iroquois County ranked 73rd in the Prairie State the month before, with $137,169 spent in sales taxes.

The Countywide Sales Tax accounted for the largest share of sales taxes paid by Iroquois County residents in October 2024.

As of 2021, Illinois was the highest taxed state in the US. A study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes were 39.83% higher than the national average.
