KANKAKEE – State Representative Jackie Haas is partnering with local organizations for a prescription drug drop-off event. The initiative, in collaboration with Pledge for Life Partnership, KAMEG, and other community partners, will take place on April 26th. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northfield Square Mall East parking lot in Bourbonnais.

“I invite all District 79 area residents to stop by and drop off any unwanted or expired medication,” expressed Rep. Haas. “Properly disposing of prescription medications is one important way to keep our community safe. I look forward to hosting this event alongside other community partners who are invested in making our community safer.”

The event will accept prescription tablets, capsules, patches, and vaping devices and cartridges, provided the lithium batteries are removed. However, liquids, syringes, needles, and intravenous solutions will not be accepted.
