The chief stated he has been in contact with Riverside regarding the ambulance service agreement, this has been an ongoing contract with language changes on both sides. Riverside currently has 1 ambulance in the city. The contract states the city must provide that space. This contract is for 2 years at $15,150.00 per year. Chief suggests the city just pays this for the next two years and then see what the current status of the ambulance service is. Chief Baier stated he has called ICOM Director Eric Raymond to set up a meeting regarding the increase in the agreement but due to short staffing issues with ICOM Mr. Raymond hasn’t had a chance yet to schedule the meeting. Last year the city paid $126,000.00. Chief Baier stated there is no reason why the city’s portion should have increased as the other local agencies did not.
