Bradley Elementary School District 61 Board of Education met April 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Special Meeting of the Board of Education of Bradley Elementary School District No. 61 was held on April 30, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Bradley Administrative Center 111 N. Crosswell Avenue, Bradley, IL 60915. -

President Golwitzer called the meeting to order and thereafter presided.

On roll call the following members voted Present: Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder. Also present was Superintendent Hammond. Absent was Fisher.

Pledge of Allegiance by Amelia Wilder.

Public Comment: None

A motion was made by McCullough and seconded by Hasemeyer to approve the abstract of votes certified by the Kankakee County Clerk from the April 1, 2025 election.

Ayes: Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: Fisher

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trudeau to elect Terrie Golwitzer as president pro tem. No further nominations.

Vote was Unanimous.

A motion was made by Trudeau to elect Dan Whalen as Secretary pro tem. No further nominations.

Vote was Unanimous.

A motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by McCullough to Adjourn SINE DIE at 7:04 p.m.

Vote was Unanimous.

President pro tem Golwitzer called the Reorganization Meeting to order at 7:04 p.m.

On roll call the following members were present: Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder. Also present was Superintendent Hammond. Absent: Fisher

President pro tem swore in new Board Member(s) Ryan Barrie – Oath of Office.

Explanation of the Officers - President, Vice President, and Secretary; Term of Office - 2 years unless by Board resolution or motion establishes the term of office as 1 year.

A motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Wilder to Approve compensation of Secretary at $30.00 per meeting until May 2027.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: None Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trudeau to nominate Terrie Golwitzer as Board President to serve a term of two years.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: None

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Golwitzer to nominate a single candidate, Phil Trudeau as Board Vice-President to serve a term of two years.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: None

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trudeau to nominate a single candidate, Dan Whalen as Secretary to serve a term of two years.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: None

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Wilder to adopt the current General Policy Manual pending further and periodic review.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

Absent: None

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A motion was made by Hasemeyer and seconded by Trudeau to establish the regular meeting date, time and place as the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Elementary School Administrative Center, Bradley, Illinois. See Calendar Attached for 2025-2026.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

Nays: None

A motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by McCullough to set the Fiscal Year of the District as July 1st through June 30th.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen and Wilder.

*Appointment of Delegates and Committee Members tabled to the May 15th Regular Board Meeting.
