Today, Representative Haas attended the Annual Illinois Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial and Medal of Honor award ceremony held at the state capitol. The event took place at the monument located next to the State Capitol Building, which serves as a constant reminder of the bravery and selflessness exhibited by firefighters.

Representative Haas expressed gratitude towards those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting communities. "Thank you to the firefighters who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our communities," said Rep. Haas. Appreciation was also extended to all firefighters for their daily risks and to their families for sharing their loved ones in service.
