State Representative Jackie Haas is organizing a Shred Event and Diaper Drive on June 14 from 10 AM to 12 PM. The event will be held at the Clock Tower Building Back Parking Lot, located at 187 S. Schuyler Drive in Kankakee.
“I encourage all constituents to come out and utilize this great FREE shredding service,” stated Rep. Haas. “Stop by to dispose of your residential documents safely and confidentially.”
The Diaper Drive aims to support Georgie’s Closet, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children in foster care. Unopened diapers of all sizes are being accepted for donation.
Rep. Haas expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “I am also thrilled to partner with Georgie’s Closet for a Diaper Drive. They do so much to help out the children in the foster care system by providing clothing and essential items. We are lucky to have them helping our community, and I am looking forward to this opportunity for us to support them!”
