U.S. Representative Robin Kelly recently addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on her social media account, including the impact of tariffs on technology costs for families, an upcoming town hall event in Hyde Park, and support for federal employees.

On August 10, 2025, Kelly commented on the financial burden that new tariffs may place on families preparing for the school year: "Many children are starting a new school year and need updated technology to keep up with their education. President Trump’s tariffs on imported computer chips will only increase costs for everyday families."

The following day, she announced a public engagement opportunity in her district: "Hyde Park, I look forward to seeing you at my town hall tonight at 6:30 PM! If you can't make it in person, you can still join the conversation and watch live on Facebook: https://t.co/jkwlbzCrrX." This post was published on August 11, 2025.

Later that evening, Kelly expressed support for federal workers after recent criticisms directed at their union: "Trump’s attacks on @704afge is an attack on all working people. Federal employees keep our country running and deserve respect, fair treatment, and a seat at the table. This isn't about politics—it's about justice. I stand with AFGE and all workers’ rights."

Robin Kelly has consistently secured re-election to Congress over multiple cycles. In 2022 she won against Thomas Lynch by more than double the votes; previous victories include wins over Theresa Raborn (2020), David Merkle (2018), John Morrow (2016), and Eric Wallace (2014).
