U.S. Representative Robin Kelly shared updates from her recent farm tour in a series of posts on August 20, 2025, highlighting visits to local agricultural businesses and discussions with community members about food security.

Kelly began her day at Janie’s Mill, where she observed their production process. In her post, she wrote, "Next stop: Janie’s Mill to see their incredible field-to-flour operation. They blend modern methods with historic processes. (Check the hair net! It’s my new look )" (August 20, 2025).

Later, Kelly attended a lunch and roundtable discussion with small business owners at Beans & Barley Brews. She noted the direct connection between local agriculture and dining, stating, "Enjoying a great lunch and round table discussion with local small business owners at Beans & Barley Brews during today's farm tour. The meal came from the farm and mill I just visited — it’s truly farm to table!" (August 20, 2025).

Concluding her day, Kelly thanked participants in a community conversation focused on food security. She posted, "That’s a wrap on the Barn Hall! Robin Kelly has represented Illinois's 2nd congressional district since winning a special election in 2013. She has consistently secured re-election by wide margins in subsequent general elections against various opponents.
