Henry "Hank" Weiler | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Henry “Hank” Weiler, 91, of Kankakee, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his home. Born on February 2, 1934, in Olney, the son of August & Frances Weiler. A member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee.

Hank, known for his kind and caring nature, was a devoted father and friend. A hardworking man with a farmer's spirit, he held various jobs from the oil fields to the steel mill, culminating in his role as Head of Maintenance at several apartment complexes, notably Hidden Glen Apartments in Bourbonnais. His ability to fix things and help others earned him the reputation of the "fix-it" man, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Survived by daughters Chris & Dan Hall of Watseka, Mindy & Javier Acevedo of Kankakee, Katie & Ron Lazarowicz of Michigan, sister Carolyn Moran of Decatur, brother Elmer & Beverly Weiler of Olney, grandchildren Elena, Javier, Antonio, Ana, Owen, Lorena, great-grandchildren Milo, Oliver, Felix, Henrietta, and lifelong friends Pat & Jerry Teter. Preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.

Cremation has taken place, with inurnment to be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney at a later date. Memorials can be made to Uplifted Care. Arrangements by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
