U.S. Representative Robin Kelly posted a series of tweets on September 5, 2025, addressing topics including vaccine misinformation, the deployment of the National Guard in response to gun violence, and tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump.

In her first tweet at 01:09 UTC, Kelly criticized Robert F. Kennedy Jr., writing "RFK Jr. has repeatedly spread lies about vaccines. His anti-vax conspiracy theories have caused confusion at every level of government & in the healthcare industry. He’s negatively impacting our country's response to future health crises."

Later that morning at 03:00 UTC, she commented on recent actions taken by former President Trump regarding public safety measures: "Deploying the National Guard isn't a solution—it's an abuse of power.

President Trump is wasting millions of dollars instead of investing in real solutions to gun violence. This is a public health crisis, not a political one."

In a subsequent post at 15:13 UTC, Kelly addressed economic concerns related to agricultural tariffs: "President Trump’s tariffs are a tax on working families, especially Illinois farmers, who are facing higher corn and soybean prices.

Trump’s trade war is bad for our economy and bad for our national safety. We need a plan that lowers prices for Americans."

Robin Kelly has served as U.S. Representative since winning her seat in 2013 and has consistently secured reelection with significant margins over multiple election cycles.
