Village of Manteno Board of Trustees met Aug. 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Roll Call:

Trustee Mike Barry

Trustee CJ Boudreau

Trustee Peggy Vaughn

Trustee Todd Crockett

Trustee Joel Gesky

Trustee Annette Zimbelman

Also Present:

Chris LaRocque – Village Administrator

Al Swinford – Chief of Police

Joseph Cainkar – Village Attorney

Jim Hanley – Superintendent of Public Works

Jakob Knox – Marketing and Communications Director

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Annette LaMore, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Prayer given by Pastor Roy Worley.

Roll call was made by the Village Clerk.

Motion by Barry, seconded by Boudreau, to wave the reading of the minutes and approve the regular Board meeting minutes of July 21, 2025, as presented by the clerk. Motion approved : 6-0

Finance – Trustee Barry

• Consideration Re: A Motion to Approve the Forensic Audit Quote of $168,000 from Greene Forensic Accounting Solutions LLP, the lowest qualified bidder • Payment of Bills $75,396.43 (includes TIF#3-$0)

• Bills Authorized and Paid between Board Cycle: $42,269.89

Next Finance Committee Meeting is Monday August 8, 2025 5:00 pm at Village Board Room.

Planning and Zoning – Trustee Boudreau

Next Planning and Zoning Committee Meeting is Wednesday August 9, 2025 at 7:00 am at Village Board Meeting. The next meeting for Planning Commission is Tuesday August 8, 2025 6:00 pm at the Village Board Meeting.

• Ordinance 25-12 An Ordinance Amending Title 3, Business Regulations, Chapter 9, Liquor, Section 3-9-13, Hours, of the Village of Manteno Municipal Code. Next Public Safety and Health Committee Meeting is Monday July 18,2025 at 6:00 pm in the Village Board Room.

General Government – Trustee Zimbelman

Next General Government Committee Meeting is Tuesday August 26,2025 at 7:00 am in the Village Board Room.

The following was Voted on:

New Business:

1. Consideration Re: A Motion to Approve the Forensic Audit Quote $168,000 from Greene Forensic Accounting Soutions LLP, the lowest qualified bidder Motioned by Barry seconded by Vaughn. Boudreau, Crockett and Zimbelman Voted No therefore there was a Tie and Mayor LaMoore Voted Yes and Motion was passed.

Financial Reports:

1. Consideration Re: Motion to approve Payment of Bills in the amount of $75,396.43 (including: TIF #3 - $0)

Motion by Barry and seconded by Boudreau for the Payment of the Bills. Motion passed 6 to 0 .

Motion to adjourn . Motion was made by Crockett and seconded by Barry
