City of Momence City Council met Aug. 18.

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.
ROLL CALL
Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Doody, Vela, Anderson Hart Fordahl, Cook, and Lesyna Temple present

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Alderman Josh Anderson made motion to approve the minutes. Alderman Vela seconded the motion with Aldermen Fordahl, Cook, Hart Doody Temple and Lesyna voting yes.
APPROVAL OF THE BILLS
Alderman Doody made motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Hart seconded the motion with Aldermen Vela, Temple, Cook, Anderson, Fordahl, and Lesyna voting yes.
CITIZENS FOROM-
Ronald Neskarse thanked us for giving him information on cutting the tree limbs back that was hanging over his property. Steve is with the Historic House who gave us dates on the upcoming events Halloween 10-25 and Christmas 12-6

Aldermanic Report
Mark Lesyna presented ordinance number 895 on water and sewer base rate of 32.55 with water rate per 1000 gallons from 2025 to 2.06 cents in 2025, 2.12 cents in 2026,2.97 cents in 2027 4.16 cents in 2028 5.82 in 2029 8.15 cents in 2030 9.37 cents in 2031, 10.78 in 2032
The sewer base rate will be 26.66 from 2025 to 2032 the rate per thousand in 2025 will be 2.49 in 2026 2.57 in 2027 will be 3.60 2028 will be 5.04 2029 will be 7.05 2030 9.87,2031 will be 11.35 2032 bill be 13.05 beginning may of each Callender year. Mark made motion to approve and melissa seconded. Vela, Anderson ,Hart Fordhal Cook, and Temple all voted yes.
Melissa stated that we will vote on the budget at next meeting.
Department Heads-
The Chief presented his monthly update on police happenings, Eric stated chemical drums in old dry cleaners have yet to be removed and will follow up on it. Tina had nothing to report.
Treasurer report -
MAYORAL REPORT -
The mayor brought forward applications for peddler permits for Surf Internet 3 applications presented. Two were granted one denied and a forth one is pending background. Alderman Cook made motion to approve and Tanya second, Doody, vela, Anderson,Hart, Temple, and Lesyna all approved.
Mayor requesting executive session for contractual to possibly to come out and do business regarding fees with engineering firm. A motion was made by David second by mark. Doody, Vela, Anderson, fordahl Temple, Hart all voting yes.
Return to open session
Motion was made to except Baxter and Woodman proposal to approve amendment for water and sewer loan applications and additional changes to facility plans. In the amount of $400,000.00 dollars alderman Cook made motion to appove and Doddy second, Vela, Hart, Fordahl, Temple, Lesyan, voted yes and Anderson voted no.
Alderman Cook made motion to adjourn. Alderman Fordahl seconded the motion along with Aldermen, Vela, Anderson, Doody, Hart and Lesyna voting yes.
