U.S. Representative Robin Kelly highlighted her recent activities and concerns in a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, on September 25 and 26, 2025.

On September 25, Kelly expressed gratitude for being recognized by a community organization, stating: "Grateful to receive Black Millennial Renaissance Appreciation Award as Honorary Board Co-Chair. My entire career, I’ve worked to expand opportunity, advance wellness, and end gun violence. I’m proud to support the young leaders who are shaping a brighter future for us all."

Later that day, she discussed her engagement with local officials at a statewide event: "Great catching up with mayors and trustees from our District and across Illinois at the Illinois Municipal League. Their dedication keeps our state moving forward, and I’m proud to support & cheer them on every step of the way."

On September 26, Kelly addressed economic pressures facing families and criticized Republican lawmakers over health care policy: "Families are already stretched thin by high prices at the grocery store and gas pump. Republicans' failure to save health care tax credits means 2026 premiums will soar an average of 75%. Families, seniors, and rural communities will be hit the hardest."

Kelly has represented her district in Congress since winning a special election in 2013. She has consistently secured re-election by wide margins over several cycles: defeating Thomas Lynch in 2022 with more than two-thirds of the vote; Theresa Raborn in 2020; David Merkle in 2018; John Morrow in 2016; and Eric Wallace in 2014.
