Luis Solis Jr., aged 88, of Aroma Park, passed away on September 19, 2025, returning to God. Born in La Grulla, TX, in 1937, Luis spent his career at Kankakee Nursery and cherished his wife Kathy for 56 years. A devout Christian, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Bourbonnais.

Luis enjoyed interests such as bowling, fishing, outdoor work, and quality time with family. He is survived by his wife Kathy, his children Michael, Tina, and Alicia, his grandson Michael, and grandchildren Phillip, Ashley, Alex, Gabriella, David, and great-grandchildren Mason, Roman, and Sutton. Luis will be remembered for his strong faith in Christ and his unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Aroma Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.
