State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) will co-host a prescription medication drop-off event in support of National DEA Rx Take Back Day. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the North Field Square Mall East Parking Lot in Bourbonnais.
“As a part of National DEA RX Take Back Day, my office is proud to co-host an upcoming Rx Drop Off Drive in Bourbonnais!” said Rep. Haas. “This is a great chance for residents to stop by and safely dispose of any medications that may be unused, unwanted, or expired.”
In addition to collecting medications, the drive will accept used eyeglasses in partnership with the Bradley Lions Club and baby diapers through Georgie’s Closet.
Rep. Haas stated, “I am also excited to partner with the Bradley Lions Club to collect used eyewear and Georgie’s Closet to collect baby diapers for those in need in our community. This event will be a great place to drop off multiple items at once. I look forward to offering this service to residents!”
Haas, a Republican, was elected in 2020 to represent Illinois’ 79th House District, succeeding Lindsay Parkhurst.
