U.S. Representative Robin Kelly posted a series of statements on October 14, 2025, addressing issues of racial justice and healthcare policy. Kelly, who has consistently won her congressional seat in Illinois by wide margins since 2014, used her social media platform to highlight ongoing advocacy efforts.

In a post marking the birthday of George Floyd, Kelly wrote, "Today would have been George Floyd’s 52nd birthday. We haven’t forgotten him. His life and his loss remind us why we keep fighting; for justice, for safety, and for a country that truly values every Black life. The work continues, and so does our resolve." (October 14, 2025)

Later the same day, Kelly turned her attention to healthcare policy, referencing fellow lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene and calling for legislative action. She stated, "When even Marjorie Taylor Greene says it’s time to act, you know it’s serious. Families can’t afford higher health insurance costs. @SpeakerJohnson, do your job. Bring the House back to work and pass a funding bill that protects Americans’ coverage." (October 14, 2025)

In a follow-up post, Kelly urged public engagement on the issue of healthcare coverage, specifically referencing the potential loss of Affordable Care Act tax credits. She wrote, "@SpeakerJohnson It’s important that every Member of Congress hears directly from the American people. Tell your Representative how the loss of ACA tax credits would impact you and your family. Healthcare is essential—and it’s worth fighting for." (October 14, 2025)

Robin Kelly has maintained a strong electoral record in Illinois, winning general elections against Thomas Lynch in 2022, Theresa Raborn in 2020, David Merkle in 2018, John Morrow in 2016, and Eric Wallace in 2014, each time by a significant margin.
