Bradley Elementary School District 61 Board of Education met Sept. 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of Bradley Elementary School District No. 61 was held on September 18, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Bradley West Elementary - 200 W State St, Bradley, IL 60915.

On roll call the following members were present: Board Members Golwitzer, Barrie, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, and Whalen. Absent was Wilder. In attendance were Superintendent Hammond, Principals Trisha Anderson and Anna Kirchner, Assistant Principal Ellie Rorabaugh, Director of HR, Kevin Patterson, and Director of Finance, Nicole McCarty. Also present was BEEA President, Sarah Hasik.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by President Golwitzer.

A Motion was made by Golwitzer and seconded by Trudeau to approve all items on the Consent Agenda: 1) Regular Board Meeting Minutes of August 14, 2025; 2) Closed Session Minutes; 3) Payroll and Accounts Payable; 4) Financial Report; 5) Committee Minutes; 6) Special Board Meeting Minutes from September 3, 2025; 7) Disposal of Surplus Supplies.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen. 

Nays: None

Absent: Wilder

Abstain: None

Board Member Comments: McCullough spoke about IASB New Board Member Training.

A Motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Barrie to approve FY26 Budget.

A Motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Golwitzer to approve policy on 30-day review.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen.

A Motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Golwitzer to approve Resolution of KASEC Member Board of Education of Bradley School District 61 Approving Proposed Amendments to the KASEC Articles of Joint Agreement for Membership of Momence Community Unit School District 1.

Ayes: Barrie, Golwitzer, Hasemeyer, McCullough, Trudeau, Whalen.

Nays: None

Absent: Wilder

Abstain: None

Motion carried.

A Motion was made by Trudeau and seconded by Golwitzer to approve MOU with BEEA.

A Motion to go into Executive Session at 7:24 p.m. was made by Trudeau and seconded by McCullough to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, dismissal or complaints [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1)]; student disciplinary cases [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21)]; and discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21)].
