U.S. Representative Robin Kelly used her social media platform on October 16 and 17, 2025, to comment on a range of political and public health issues, including vaccine policy, immigration enforcement tactics, and Republican approaches to governance.

On October 16, Kelly addressed recent developments regarding COVID-19 vaccine guidance for pregnant women, referencing a panel associated with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She stated, "RFK Jr.’s own vaccine panel refuted his rollback on COVID vaccines for pregnant women… even if the panel itself seems confused by its own decision. These are the so-called experts now running our country’s health. I trust scientists, doctors, and medical experts. Vaccines".

Later the same day, Kelly commented on an incident involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Chicago. She posted, "Video evidence proves ICE is lying: ICE agents intentionally crashed their car into another driver in a maneuver banned by Chicago police. ICE’s reckless and violent tactics endanger everyone, showcased further when they released tear gas into a crowd of people after the crash." The post highlights concerns about law enforcement practices and their impact on public safety.

On October 17, Kelly criticized Republican leaders regarding government operations and policy decisions. She wrote, "Republicans: Faith in government is at an all time low! Also Republicans: Let’s gut healthcare, raise costs of living, and shut down the government!"

Robin Kelly has a history of electoral success in Illinois' 2nd congressional district. She won the 2022 general election against Thomas Lynch with 67.1% of the vote, following previous victories over Theresa Raborn in 2020, David Merkle in 2018, John Morrow in 2016, and Eric Wallace in 2014.
