Veterans Day was observed as an occasion to recognize and honor those who have served in the United States military. The day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by service members to protect national freedoms.
"Veterans Day is a time for us to honor the lives, stories, and sacrifices of those who have served our nation. Thank you to the brave men and women who have served in our military to protect our freedoms!" Illinois State Representative Jackie Haas said.
Jackie Haas, a Republican, has represented Illinois's 79th House District since her election in 2020, following Lindsay Parkhurst in that role.
