*Motion to appoint Ben Detloff as Village President pro-tem, for purposes of this meeting

Voice vote approved 5-0-0

6:35PM Meeting called to Order / Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all present except Pres. Hawkins, and Ms. Whorrall absent

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 8/21/23 meeting

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Danahey Motion Carried 3-0-2 Bruni and Wiedl abstaining

No Public Comments

*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <9/01/23 General Fund $17,716.11, Fest Fund $1,893.57, Payroll < 8/18/23 $17,452.37, <8/22/23 $716.93 C/C charge of $2395.36 withheld for clarification

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Bruni Motion Carried 5-0-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: no report, but will be picking up kids train cars for Fest, Thursday morning

Engineers report: no report Mr. Detloff will be speaking to Piggush over what he observed as a poor job on the asphalt paving on the new walkway, seeking a resolution

Ordinance & Insurance, Wiedl:

*Motion to table second reading Ordinance O-8-23-2, waiting for lawyer rewrite that was to be done

Motion: Danahey 2nd: Wiedl Motion Carried 5-0-0

Streets & Alleys, Danahey: spray patching going on now, a complaint on far S.E. Main St. was received, which the Village does not own, or maintain. Not sure what can be done

Finance, Morgan: K.C. Custom Detail Shop has applied for TIF Funds

Community Outreach: Gave a quick review of plans for the Fest, has spoken to Meadow St. Residents over parking for the car show on Sunday

Building & Grounds, Bruni: Wicks Bike Shop will be doing safety checks at the Fest

Law Enforcement, Whorrall: absent, no report

Pres. Hawkins: absent, no report

No Executive session held
