Westmont Village Board of Fire and Police Commissioners met Jan. 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Call To Order: Chairman Mulhearn called the Special Meeting of the Westmont Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to order at 8:00 AM on January 10, 2026.

Roll Call: Commissioner Qualizza called the roll as follows: Chairman Mulhearn – Present, Commissioner Qualizza – Present, Commissioner Sible – Present, A quorum was present.

Public Comment: None (no one from the public was present)

New Business:

On this day, the Board conducted oral interviews of entry level patrol Officer Candidates from the Final Probationary Patrol Officer Eligibility List. The candidates were individually escorted to the Chiefs Conference Room where the candidates completed a short written biography. The candidates were then escorted to the Training Room at the Westmont Police Department where the oral interviews were conducted.

Candidate # 29 Completed the oral interview process after which the candidate was dismissed from the proceedings. The Commissioners deliberated on the candidate’s oral interview performance. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to advance the candidate to the polygraph phase of the hiring process. Commissioner Qualizza seconded the motion.

Vote: Yes-0, No-3 Motion Does Not Carry.

The candidate will be informed of the Board’s decision.

Candidate # 32 Completed the oral interview process after which the candidate was dismissed from the proceedings. The Commissioners deliberated on the candidate’s oral interview performance. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to advance the candidate to the polygraph phase of the hiring process. Commissioner Sible seconded the motion.

Vote: Yes-3, No-0 Motion Carries.

The candidate will be informed of the Board’s decision.

Candidate # 34 Completed the oral interview process after which the candidate was dismissed from the proceedings. The Commissioners deliberated on the candidate’s oral interview performance. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to advance the candidate to the polygraph phase of the hiring process. Commissioner Qualizza seconded the motion.

Vote: Yes-0, No-3 Motion Does Not Carry.

Candidate # 36 Completed the oral interview process after which the candidate was dismissed from the proceedings. The Commissioners deliberated on the candidate’s oral interview performance. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to advance the candidate to the polygraph phase of the hiring process. Commissioner Sible seconded the motion.

Vote: Yes-3, No-0 Motion Carries.

The candidate will be informed of the Board’s decision.

Approval of Invoices:

The Board received Invoice dated December 18, 2025 from Premier Occupational Health in the amount $2,224.00 for two (2) Physical Exams at $1,112.00 per exam. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to authorize payment to Premier Occupational

Health in the amount of $2,224.00. Commissioner Qualizza 2nd the motion.

Vote: Yes-3, No-0 Motion Carries.

The Board received Invoice # C64911A dated January 7, 2026 from IOS Solutions in the amount of $1,150.00 for two (2) Candidates Psychological Evaluations at $575.00 per Evaluation. Chairman Mulhearn made a motion to authorize payment to IOS Solutions in the amount of $1,150.00. Commissioner Sible 2nd the motion.

Vote: Yes-3, No-0 Motion Carries.

The Commission reviewed materials and information concerning Fire Department Candidate testing procedures.

Adjournment:

There being no additional business before the Commission at this time, Chairman Mulhearn made the motion to adjourn and Commissioner Qualizza seconded the motion.

Vote: Yes-2, No-0. Motion Carries

The Commission adjourned at 3:00 PM
