The Bourbonnais village board will vote Tuesday on authorizing a feasibility study on the new I-57 interchange project.
The village's share of the study bill is expected to be up to $43,000. Planning and design firm Ratio will help lead the 12-week study, which will look at the physical needs of the site and project as well as look to develop a plan that includes economic development opportunities nearby.
The firm will help form a project steering committee, conduct site analysis and draft a preliminary site plan.
The total project has been estimated to cost $63.8 million. Officials have estimated the development will draw 10,000 jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars of investment in the next two decades.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at the Municipal Center.
