Kankakee Community College (KCC) is displaying 82 works from 41 students until April 28 at the KCC art gallery.

“The annual KCC Student Art Exhibit reflects the creativity of our students," KCC art professor Jean Janssen said. "We invite the public to come and enjoy a wide variety of artworks, including carved wooden sculptures, paintings, pastels, three-dimensional designs and collage.”

The works include self-portraits, sculpture, paintings, ceramics, wood, wire, plaster and art made from found objects.

The exhibition will close with a reception for the artists from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the gallery.

The gallery is open six days a week. Regular hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays;  and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
