McNamara Catholic High prepares for August cheer, poms clinics
McNamara Catholic High School has announced its plans to host cheerleading and poms camps next month.
The cheerleading camp is for students in first through ninth grade and will run Aug. 8-10. It takes place each day from 5 to 7 p.m. and costs $30. Campers are broken up by age, and will learn jumps, tumbles, cheers and basic stunting. The finale includes campers performing for family and friends -- in addition to performing at a home football game.
The poms camp will be held in the cafeteria for everyone from age three through eighth grade. Camp will run from 4 to 6 p.m. daily Aug. 15-17. The cost is also $30. This clinic teaches basic skill for dance and will teach at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels for everyone. Participants will perform at a scrimmage game later in the week.
