Bennie informed the board that there are 12 active authorized special agencies for new construction under NB-369. He asked the board to consider allowing for this additional category of authorized inspectors for new construction, repairs and alterations. He feels this may be a “restraint of trade” and asked the board for consideration of this category.
Bernie stated that there are approximately (12) 3rd party inspection companies doing new constructions, repairs and alteration inspections in approx. 20 jurisdictions. Hayes Mechanical, Jamie Walker Jamie Walker from Hayes Mechanical met with Stepan Chemical to discuss work needed on 5 of their State Specials vessels.
