25 Olivet Nazarene football players named to MSFA All-Academic Team

Twenty-five Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) football players were named to the 2016 Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) All-Academic Team, according to www.onutigers.com.

Inclusion on the team requires a grade-point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale and being a sophomore in academic standing. The head coach or sports-information director of a school makes the nominations.

There was a total of 189 players from the 13 MSFA schools who made the team.

Here are the ONU players who made the team, and the number of times they have been named to the team:

Three-time honorees – Drew Philson, Matt McDivitt, Andrew Manganiello

Two-time honorees – Palmer Ponstein, Corbin Hesterberg, Codey Bishop, Ryan Jennings, Jorge Valencia, Kyle Love

First-time honorees – Christian Webster, Austin Berns, Caleb Coe, Zachary Kennell, Davis Clay, Brock Perry, Patrick Ullrich, Tyler Davis, Micah Melton, Josh Mugler, Nick Krieg, Justin Banks, Reagan Jones, Joel Boser, Stephen Erutti and  T.J. Foulks.
