Robin Kelly, a U.S. Congress member representing Illinois' 2nd district since 2013, recently shared her views and initiatives on social media. Her posts cover topics ranging from political appointments to historical commemorations and transgender rights.
On November 19, 2024, Robin Kelly questioned the qualifications of recent Trump cabinet nominations by asking: "Is a TV casting director in charge of the Trump cabinet nominations? We don't need more failed TV personalities in charge. Americans need qualified leaders with real policy solutions."
The following day, on November 20, 2024, she highlighted her involvement with the Historic Pullman Foundation by stating: "I spoke at the Historic Pullman Foundation to celebrate its history as one of the first major labor movements in American history. In 2023, I proudly introduced a bill to designate Pullman as a National Historical Park. We will never forget that it all started in Pullman."
Later that same day, Kelly addressed anti-transgender violence during Transgender Day of Remembrance: "This #TransgenderDayofRemembrance, I honor the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. I will continue to protect the trans community from violence and discrimination."
