The City of Kankakee had the 812th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of January 2016 -- down 13 spots from its December ranking.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Kankakee Times, Kankakee generated $882,303 in net sales from its 37 lottery retailers in January 2016, compared to $839,052.50 in January 2015.
