Golf cart and utility vehicle owners in Momence should visit the Momence Police Department before May 31 to grab a discounted rate on their 2017-2018 inspections, according to Momence Mayor Mick Porter.
Current registration stickers, which are green, will expire on May 31. Owners will pay $25 for inspections before the end of the month and $50 afterward. Newly purchased vehicles will continue to be subject to the lower rate.
Owners must complete and submit a registration application, which can be found on the police department’s website or picked up in person at the department. The vehicles must have all required equipment and be in working order.
The mayor reminds residents that only those 16 years and older and in possession of a valid driver's license are allowed to operate the vehicles, per city ordinance.
