Olivet Nazarene track team just can't be caught

Track 0526

The Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) Tigers have been jumping hurdles in a mad dash to a dynasty, and they can now add another Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships to their legacy.

ONU took home the title in runaway fashion earlier in May, picking up gold-place finishes in eight events and adding two more qualifiers to the NAIA Outdoor Championships as well.

Karley Divan qualified in the 800-meter race in 2:14.07, second only to her teammate Alexa Beezhold. Elizabeth Soper also qualified provisionally in the 10,000-meter run. Overall, the Tigers had 27 ladies place in the top three in 14 events over two days.

ONU racked up 264 points in a landslide victory, beating out Saint Ambrose University by 60 en route to the team's eighth consecutive title.
