Manteno Community Unit School District 5 Board of Education Buildings and Grounds Committee met October 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

A. District

1. Lead Water Test Results

A letter was sent to District families explaining the results. Please see attached letter.

2. Security & Window Film – Tabled

B. High School

1. Outside Restrooms – Tabled

2. Locker Room Restroom Partitions

The committee agreed to employ Neal Masonry Inc. to install the block work and the partitions in the restrooms. Commercial Specialties Inc. will provide the doors and the mounting hardware for the partitions. Installation will be done over the holiday break.

IV. New Business

A. District

1. Natural Gas and Electric Pricing

The District is working with Canna and Canna to create an RFP to go out to bid for natural gas and electric service. The bid specifications will be ready to go out late October or early November. Results will be brought back to the November Building and Grounds meeting.

1. 8th Grade Boys Handicapped Restroom Stall Door

The Committee agreed to employ Neal Masonry Inc. to install the block work and the partitions in the restrooms. Commercial Specialties Inc. will provide the doors and the mounting hardware for the partitions. Installation will be done over the holiday break

A snow plow has been purchased from BSI in Bourbonnais with installation included.
