Roll call was taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 8/21/17 meeting, with correction. (Mark Millons name was misspelled) Motion: Morse 2nd: Dickson Motion Carried 6-0

No Public Comments:

*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: (8/23/17) General Fund $600.00, (8/31/17) General Fund $34,369.62, Sewer Fund $799.23, M.F.T. $261.80, (9/18/17) General Fund $12,424.39, Sewer Fund $138,823.27. (8/26/17) Payroll $14,668.50, (9/08/17) Stipend $1,275.00, (9/08/17) $7,898.68, (9/09/17) $8,577.17. Octoberfest $9,472.96

Motion: Dickson 2nd: Morse Motion Carried 5-0-1 Morgan abstaining

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: Attended County Clerk Assn. meeting last week, County Board Pres. was guest speaker

Received a request from the Girl Scouts for a permit to sell cookies in October, and again in January “18. Permit was granted with no charge. Voice vote 6-0-0 in favor.

*Motion to approve Resolution R-9-17-1 Sanitary Sewer Improvements

Motion: Weidl 2nd: Veldhuizen Motion Carried 6-0

Streets & Alleys, Veldhuizen: Reported culvert replacement on 9000N. Road has been installed, some ground work will be completed soon, as well as blacktop.

Finance, Dickson: no report

Sewer & Garbage, Morgan: Lagoon level is back to normal, John Bobera reported that due to the lower level, he would like to replace some valves that are not working properly.

Building & Grounds, Morse: Gave a report on the Octoberfest. All indications that it was very successful, due to the great weather, and a good attendance. Ms. Morse thanked all the Village employees, Township employees, and the numerous volunteers that assisted to make this annual event successful. Next Festival meeting this Thursday at 6PM. Financials should be ready for the next Meeting.

Law Enforcement, Coats: no report

Chief Frey: took delivery of new Police car, in service in a couple weeks

Pres. Roth: Reported he has engineer Piggush working on a bike/walkway path to go along the Rt. 1 Highway in front of the Dollar store. They will be applying for a State Grant of 80/20 split to fund this project.
