Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met Feb. 19.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

6:00PM Meeting called to order/Pledge

Roll call was taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 2/05/18 meeting

Motion: Dickson 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 6-0

Public Comments:

A well-rehearsed request was heard from 4 members of Girl Scout Troop 70323, requesting a free or reduced rate to rent the Community Center Friday, 4/06/18 to host a Father/Daughter dance. A voice vote by board members approved a no cost rent for the event.

Bob Roviaro requested a street light be installed at the intersection of Rt. 17, and Hilgert Dr. due to the area being dark. Chief Frey thought there is a light that has wiring problems, and is due to be repaired when the weather breaks.

Jerry Loitz expressed concerns on the possible sale of the sewer plant. He agrees the rates needs to be increased to keep up with upkeep of the system, but thinks it would be good to keep it owned by the Village. Pres. Roth answered questions, and gave a brief 10 year outlook in to future expenses, and part of the reasoning of the Village considering the sale.

*Bills for Payment: (2/16/18) General Fund $4,857.23, Sewer Fund $955.00, (2/10/18) Payroll $15,511.16, (2/12/18) Stipend $1,275.00
