Report: St. Anne spent $10,109 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at St. Anne Community Consolidated School District 256 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Kankakee County school district spent $8,971 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,109 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 352 to 340.

St. Anne's spending in 2016-17 was 22 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
