Woodland Fire Protection District responded to 15 calls in 2017 - 200 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Woodland included 12 fires - seven structure fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $35 in fire loss - or about $3 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

The Woodland Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $29,294 in 2017.
