OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY TIGERS FOOTBALL: Tigers add experience with the addition of Jesse Vogel

Olivet Nazarene University Tigers Football issued the following announcement on June 25.

Head coach Ralph Hodge has added one more vital piece to the 2018 recruiting class. Jesse Vogel, from Clark College (Wash.), is the newest member of the Olivet Nazarene University men's basketball 2018 recruiting class. The Tigers are pleased to add the six-foot one-inch, combo guard from Las Vegas, Nevada.

Following a breakout sophomore season for Clark College, Vogel will join the Tigers and have two seasons with ONU. The athletic, multi-skilled guard was third for the Penguins is scoring at 13.2 points per game. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds, was third in assists (37) and played 27.6 minutes per game. Jesse shot 44.6 percent from the field, 38.2 from behind the arc and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line. Vogel scored a season-high 23 points against Olympic College, making five three-pointers.

During his freshman season at Ridgewater College (Minn.), Vogel averaged 6.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists and shot 48.2 percent from the field.

Jesse prepped at Arbor View High School in Las Vegas and scored 31 points twice for the Aggies his senior season.

Vogel commented on his decision to continue his career at ONU. "Olivet was a great fit for me and really gives me a chance to grow in a new environment."

Jesse plans on finishing his business degree at Olivet. His father and mother, Troy and Trisha, reside in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his two brothers Troy II and Chasen.
