Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met May 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

6:00PM Meeting called to order/ Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all present except Ms. Dickson

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 5/07/18 meeting

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Weidl Motion Carried 5-0

Public Comments: Jerry Loitz questioned if the selling of the sewer system would mean raising taxes to support the storm sewers. Pres. Roth answered that any work would be funded from the proceeds of the sale, and that there is no intention to increase taxes.

*Motion to approve bills for payment: General Fund <5/8/18 $12,700.33 (tabling Advance Computers)

Sewer Fund $1,491.64, Payroll <5/5/18 $14,223.04, Stipend <5/11/18 $1,275.00

Motion: Veldhuizen 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 5-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: no report

Streets & Alleys, Veldhuizen: no report committee meeting postponed to 6/4/18

Finance, Dickson: no report, absent

Sewer & Garbage, Morgan: no report

Building & Grounds, Morse:

*Motion to approve Matt Yeager to entertain from 1-4PM 9/8/18 for $300 for Octoberfest

Motion: Morse 2nd: Veldhuizen Motion Carried 5-0

There will also be a bean bag tourney going on at this time next Fest Meeting 5/24

Ms. Morse asked about a shredding day; Mr. Morgan will look in to this.

Ordinance & Insurance, Weidl: no report

Law Enforcement, Coats: no report

Chief Frey: Memorial area by Police Station is ready to go

Pres. Roth: made the following annual appointments: Village Attorney, Spesia & Taylor; Treasurer, Doug Graves; Police Chief, Carl Frey; Road Commissioner, John Henson; Adjudication Hearing Officer, Brian Herde; Building Inspector, David Crouse; Sewer Commissioner, John Bobera, Village Engineer, Piggush Engineering. All appointments approved by 5-0 voice vote

Also presented was an annual Com Ed load sheet report on the Village

Pres. Roth spoke of the Com Ed whole house analysis, on what they did at his home, an encourages everyone to take advantage of this free service.

No Executive Session held
