Patients requiring computed tomography (CT) imaging scans now have access to the most advanced medical imaging system in the region at Riverside Healthcare. The Aquilion® ONE Dynamic Volume CT System provides faster diagnoses, leading to better outcomes and overall lower healthcare costs.

Additionally, the new system features unique benefits to orthopedic and pediatric patients by its ability to image bone and soft tissue in motion while reducing radiation exposure by up to 80%. The Aquilion® ONE system, a product of Canon Medical Systems, utilizes a high-resolution detector to image an entire organ in a single x-ray rotation with up to 16 cm of anatomical coverage - enough to capture the entire brain or heart and show its blood flow and movement. With the ability to capture the images of any moving part, the new system allows physicians to successfully image by 4D video format, a feature no other imaging modality possess.
Furthermore, the new system has the ability to reduce costs and streamline treatment by replacing several tests with one exam which allows care teams to treat high-risk patients immediately, saving time and resources.
