The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) is still accepting applicants for its National Rifle Association (NRA) Basic Rifle Course scheduled for Sept. 30 at the ISRA Range near Kankakee.
ISRA Executive Director Richard A. Pearson recently sent notice to members detailing more particulars about the 8-hour course that includes live-fire qualification. Firearms, ammunition and lunch will be provided for the class as part of the $125 registration fee.
The class is a prerequisite for anyone interested in attending the NRA Rifle Instructor Course scheduled for consecutive Sundays beginning Oct. 21.
