Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School District 307 issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
BBCHS in cooperation with the Bradley Police want to take this opportunity to address the speculation regarding threats to the school. Earlier this week a verbal threat was made to a very specific and small group of students. The student in question was removed from the school and the Bradley Police were contacted. The specific details have been thoroughly investigated by both BBCHS and the Bradley Police and there is no evidence of any written list and there has been no contact with the school or other students since the initial interaction. The BBCHS Administration along with the Bradley Police have been in contact with the student’s guardian on a daily basis.
Furthermore, there has been no threat related to student attendance at school tomorrow. However, in order to make our students, parents, and staff feel more comfortable there will be an increased police presence both in and around the building.
The safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority and any and all threats are thoroughly investigated and taken seriously.
