Incumbent Kelly wins 2nd Congressional District race

Democrat Robin Kelly has won the 2nd Congressional District against Republican David Merkle.

With 86 percent of the precincts reporting, Kelly, the incumbent, had 79 percent of the vote with a total of 160,374 votes.

Merkle received 21 percent of the vote with a total of 41,463 votes.
