BOURBONNAIS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Remembering Todd

Announcement

Bourbonnais Elementary School issued the following announcement on Dec. 12.

Each December we take a moment to remember our former board member and friend Todd Hildebrand. Todd passed away suddenly five years ago today, while in his second term as a BESD#53 School Board member. He also served the township and his parish.

Below is his obituary from 2013. Todd's service to our district and love for our kids will always be remembered.

Todd A. Hildebrand, 46, of Bourbonnais, passed away Thursday (Dec. 12, 2013) at Riverside Medical Center's emergency room, Kankakee.

He was born July 3, 1967, in Kankakee, the son of Larry and Linda Byrne Hildebrand. He married Anna Alexander on Dec. 10, 1994.

Mr. Hildebrand was co-owner of Alexander Equipment Rental, a Bourbonnais Elementary School District 53 board member and a Bourbonnais Township trustee. He was very outgoing and always attended his children's sports events and activities. He was a family man of strong character and a great heart. He adored his wife and children. Todd thought of others before himself and willingly gave of his time and effort to others in need. Many will remember Todd's kindness. He enjoyed sports, particularly following his children, who are actively engaged in school and club soccer and volleyball.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Alexander, of Bourbonnais; his children, Jacob, Matthew and Hannah Alexander-Hildebrand, all at home; his parents, of Bourbonnais; his father- and mother-in-law, Jerry and Nancie Alexander, of Bourbonnais; sister, Andrea Hildebrand, of Bourbonnais; and brother-in-law, Matthew Alexander, of Bourbonnais.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Louis and Charlotte Hildebrand; maternal grandparents, John and Dorothy Byrne; and step-paternal grandmother, Madeline Hildebrand.
