The meeting was called to order by President Timothy O. Nugent. Roll call followed the Pledge of Allegiance, led by President Nugent.
Motion by Phillips, seconded by Dole, to waive the reading of the minutes and approve the Regular Board Meeting minutes of November 5th, 2018 and the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing Meeting of November 5th, 2018. Motion approved: 5-0 Crockett Abstained
Public Participation: Carter Bettenhausen, Peotone, approached the Board and wanted to know if the Village is open to a St. Patrick’s Day parade. Carter had tried to work with the Village of Peotone, but they were not interested. Mayor Nugent referred him to Sarah Marion and instructed him to leave his contact information with Chris LaRocque and Sarah will contact him.

Village President’s Report: Timothy Nugent
The Mayor presented a certificate of recognition to Richard J. Van Pelt, a recipient as one of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Illinois Bicentennial Office “Honor 200” selected Veterans. Mr. Van Pelt was recognized as one of 200 veterans across the State of Illinois who continue to make extraordinary contributions to the people of Illinois.
The Mayor read a letter from the Manteno Sportsman Club thanking the Village for help received from our public works department in using our boom truck to help put lights up. The
Village has always had a partnership with the Sportsmans Club, especially during the July 4th celebration that the Sportsmans Club holds every year.

Public Works and Utilities- Trustee Boyce

Next Public Works Committee meeting to be held Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at 7:00 am at the Village Hall Conference room.
Parks and Recreation- Trustee Martin
• Santa on the Square will be Saturday December 1st
• Astro turf for Square on Second will be put down this week
• Fireplace will be finished this week
• Fountain heads installed, may be able to pour concrete next week if weather holds
• This Sunday will be last day for Jumping Pillow

Public Safety and Health- Trustee Dole
Nothing on the agenda tonight.
• Sightings of coyotes within the Village. They will be a permanent fixture in the Village as they are native to the area. Residents are urged to remove all food sources that are outside and to keep lids tight on garbage cans, as well as monitoring pets when outdoors.

The next Planning and Zoning Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 27th 2018 at 7:00 am at the conference room at Village Hall.
The next Planning Commission meeting will be scheduled for Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the Village Board Room at the Leo Hassett Community Center
