Report: Donovan spent $9,560 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Donovan Community Unit School District 3 is up 7.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Iroquois County school district spent $8,916 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,560 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 342 to 289.

Donovan's spending in 2017-18 was 28.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
