Administrators in Momence Community Unit School District 1 earn an average of $87,840 per year, ranking 653rd out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Kankakee Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 3.6% higher than in 2014 and 0.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 18.1% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Kankakee County school district enrolled 1101 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 157 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
