President Bayer called the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bradley Public Library District to order at 6:00 P.M, Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
Present: Trustees Bayer, Benoit, Fisher, Grace, Hendrickson and Richardson Absent: Rodgers
Also present: J. DePatis, Director and J Ponton, Recording Secretary

35 new readers were registered and 6,673 items were issued in January.
Receipts: $ 772.23: fines on overdue books; $ 412.00: fax ; $ 562.15: copies; $118.00 : lost/damaged; $ 140.00: fee cards; $75.00: room rental; $120.60: other.
Expenses: $50.55.

Director DePatis stated the following:
Continuing Education:
Director DePatis attended a 3 day HR Essentials offered by HR Source.
Director DePatis, Betty Chapman, Olivia Koerner, and Marie Cowden attended a Strategic Planning workshop by LACONI at Woodridge Public Library on February 14th. Maintenance:
Carpets were cleaned over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend including children’s area rugs and in the Drassler room.
Legal:
Tax exempt property form returned to Kankakee County Assessor.
Miscellaneous:
Trustee Bayer submitted a request to dispose of outdated records to the Illinois State Library.
Programs:
The summer markets with the Northern Illinois Food Bank has been set for June 26th from 5 to 7 PM, July 17th 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and August 7th 5 to 7 PM.
Teen group, TACO will sponsor a prom dress exchange.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Friends of the Library: Met on February 6th at 6:30 PM. The current balance in the Friends checking account is $2,244.39. The purchase of a sand/water table, lid for the table, and waterfall was approved. Their next meeting will be held on March 6th.
Legal Committee: Met at 5:00PM today. The committee reviewed the personnel policies recommended changes. The committee also continued review of the Public Use of Library Policies. There will be no legal committee meeting in March.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Upon recommendation of the Legal committee, that the new vetted personnel policies be approved for distribution: Moved by Trustee Hendrickson and seconded by Trustee Benoit to distribute the new personnel policies.

Trustees were asked to watch their library email accounts for the Economic Interest Statements for this year.
NEW BUSINESS:
Upon recommendation of the Legal committee to approve the updated Public Use of the Library policies which consist of
1. Borrowing Privileges
2. Library Fees
3. Exhibits and Display Cases
4. Computer and Internet: Eligibility.
Moved by Trustee Fisher and seconded by Trustee Richardson to approve the updated Public Use of Library policies.
Motion carried by unanimous vote
Moved by Trustee Hendrickson and seconded by Trustee Grace to go into Executive Session to discuss pending, imminent, or probable litigation at 6:30 P.M.
Motion carried by unanimous vote
President Bayer declared the Executive Session closed at 6:45 P.M. Communication: None
Trustee Hendrickson moved for adjournment at 6:47 P.M.
