Grant Park home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Grant Park fell by $77,676 while total sales decreased by 60%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $62,325 - a 55.5% decrease over the $140,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Grant Park in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Grant Park for 2017 was $4,416. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,255. This marks an increase of 3.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 7.1%.
