Q2 2018 Recap: Parolees in Kankakee convicted of homicide

There were three offenders convicted of homicide released on parole in Kankakee during the second quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Kankakee Times.

The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for homicide was 39. The youngest parolee was a 36-year-old man sentenced in 2000, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced in 2004.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Alfredo Bibiano. He was convicted of homicide in 1998 when he was 16 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q2 2018 who were convicted of homicide.
