The data shows that 36 men and three women were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for property crimes, one is a veteran, and the median age is 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 59-year-old man sentenced in 2016.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Anastacio B. Palafox. He was convicted of a property crime in 1994 when he was 33 years old. He is now 58.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
