Village of Clifton Water and Sewer Committee met Aug. 6.

Call to Order: 5:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Randy Gigl, Chris Sifrit, Tracy Mitchell, Tim Kent, Andy
Approval of Minutes: Chris approved, Tracy seconded
Old Business: Randy gave a brief update on the effects of the last round of sewer plant chemicals. Jim Earlywine had reported little effect from last round, but latest sample would be back in 5 weeks. Chris commented that we should have seen improvements by now. Tim mentioned that the sewer plant normally takes in 130,000 gallons/day, but this summer we have been processing over 400,000 gallons /day.
Discussions: Andy discussed the current proposal for an increase in monthly water bills and presented digital copies of the various increase percents and how these percents would affect the typical household. Tim mentioned some apartments in town only have one meter, Chris said this will need to be changed. Based on 2 years of data from Andy, the committee was able to determine an increase to present at the next VBM. Chris motioned to accept an increase, Tracy seconded.
